Austin’s areas of practice include estate, trust, business succession and incapacity planning.
Austin practices in the areas of trusts, estates and tax planning. He assists with estate and trust planning, incapacity planning, disability planning, probate and estate administration, and tax-efficient business succession planning for privately-held corporations.
Prior to joining Scion Law, Austin earned his law degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia before articling and practicing at a nationally ranked trusts and estates boutique. Austin also holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Western University, which informs the thoughtful, principled and analytical approach he brings to his legal practice.
Outside the office, Austin enjoys exploring Vancouver’s coastal mountains and spending time with his wife, Nicola, and their cat, Bruce.
